Brown V. Wilson
The Ferguson case has been going on for months, and now that it has taken them 4 months to come up with a lie (in my decision) to keep this police officer from being thrown in jail is crazy to me. I do not respect the court’s decision, and I think that Brown and his family deserve justice. Why? Because Black Lives matter as well.
But me personally I support protestors, but I don’t understand the purpose of it sometimes. We can stand out all night and chant, and express our anger. But clearly, its not working. Its like a repeat of the marching Dr. MLK did. It seems like us, we as African Americans, the outsiders, the immigrants will never get Justice. One thing I will never do is place the race card, but the truth is the truth. For centuries African Americans have been treated like they do not matter, and we are 28 days from 2015, and families are still teaching racism. I just don’t understand it! Why did this officer get to walk free from killing an unarmed human? Whether he had been black or white this is unacceptable. But when you think of black people you think of thugs, criminals and everything negative. But the thing is we aren’t all like that, we why are we all being punished for stereotypes? Black Lives Matter is not just a moment, but it’s a movement. I wish the world wasn’t so black and white and see us all as one as God sees us. But until then we have to stand up and fight for what we believe in. “Out of the huts of history shame I rise, up from a past rooted in Pain I rise… Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise I rise I rise.”
